Job Description

Summary:  This is a sales role where extensive roofing knowledge and experience is highly desirable but not required.  In this role, you will be leveraging your technical knowledge of roofing systems and materials with your ability to develop relationships to create a differentiated value proposition to the institutional and commercial markets versus the competition.   The successful incumbent will be able to drive substantial year over year growth in the planned preventative, re-roofing, restoration and new construction markets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

•         Ability to rapidly grow institutional and commercial sales and achieve year over year growth thereafter.

•         Approaching contractors (prospecting), identifying and communicating mutual benefits, and creating sales proposals to gain new business. 

o   Training installers and overseeing installation.

o   Securing warranty for the customer

•         Approaching building owners and managers to identify key decision makers and creating sales proposals to gain new business and become a supplier of choice.

o   Through superior products and customer service, gain new leads that translate into mutually beneficial lead generating and subsequent sales

•         Persuade design/architectural community on the value propositions of Henry’s planned preventative roofing solutions.

•         Leverage existing and new relationships to grow HRS category.

Education and/or Experience                                                  


•         Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

•         Knowledge of Roofing materials or Building products is a must.



•         This role is home based.  Local travel is expected approximately 50-75% of the time.


Computer Skills                                              


•         To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of; MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook.   CRM software (such as is preferred.
