The Terminal manager must achieve performance goals with safety, economy, efficiency, and effectiveness ensuring profitability of all departments. Follow and teach our core values of Safety, Integrity and Technology.

The TM will prepare and conduct performance evaluations for all managers and personnel reporting to him directly and approve all performance evaluations prepared by managers and supervisors prior to review with the personnel reporting to them, to ensure equality and effectiveness.

The TM will administer wage increases consistent with established budgets, skill level, safety and team member behavior toward their job responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Full responsibility and oversight of the 24/7 of all terminal operations with SAFETY being the highest priorities next to financial stewardship. Learn and understand all aspects of the Terminal including Prop logistics, Traffic flow, Scale house, Rbts and Railroad functions.

Manage, direct, and provide insight and follow up to staff of supervisors and team members.

Manage supervisors to set expectations, lead, train and develop all team members through the Management Process.

Manage and ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Participate in customer meetings to build positive relationships.

Accountable for asset utilization. This will entail routine evaluation of requirements, capital improvement projects to maximize efficiency.

Accountable for the development, approval, and periodic review of operating procedures for all terminal activities. This area will include all technical, operational, and support functions including scheduling, best hiring practices as per direction from VP.

Maintain and develop safety culture among all Team Members.

Participate in and promote regional and/or corporate initiatives.      

Ensure that Team Members receive the proper training to perform their jobs.

Routine interface with accounting, maintenance, sales, and other support teams.

Routine communication and coordination with other corporate departments.

Must haves:

3+ years of experience in the Oil and Energy field in a similar role

Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Good communication skills and comfortable presenting to all levels of the organization.

Above average computer skills for accessing and reporting in a variety of systems including Excel.

Ability to lead and manage a team.
