This position reporting to the Department Supervisor consists of the following duties and responsibilities,

which is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management

may deem necessary: • Supports assembly & installation of robotic systems

• Develops robotic path motions (programs) to maximize efficiency, safety, and quality for various

brands of robots

• Documents & tracks key robotic process parameters (e.g. weld programs \ setting, etc.)

• Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals to determine programming required

or troubleshooting methods.

• Align, fit, or assemble fixture or machine component parts using hand and \ or power tools as

required. Will work with valves, switches, motors, panel wiring, cylinders, welder controls, robot

interface etc. as required for each project.

• Assist in startup and troubleshooting of machinery both on floor and in the Customer’s

plant.

• Support research & evaluation activities of new technologies for future project applications as

directed

• Support integration of new technologies into machines to insure manufacturing high

quality, competitively priced, state-of-the-art equipment, which best meets the customer’s

requirements.

• Complete special projects as assigned.

• Train customers or other personnel to use or maintain designed robotic systems.

• Maintain seamless communication & promote working harmony with adjacent departments (i.e.

Shop, Electrical Department, Mechanical Department, Applications Engineering, Purchasing).

• Communicate effectively with customers while preserving and balancing the company’s interest.

• Ability to travel for the company and maintain professional attitude and appearance at all times. Requirements:

• High school education or higher

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications is desirable

• Ability to travel –Can be up to 50% of the time but the average is 30%

• PLC programming skills is helpful but not required

• Has at least 2 years experience in programming robots

• Specific experience programming Fanuc, Motoman, ABB, Panasonic and others brands is

desirable

• Basic understanding of resistance & MIG welding processes are desirable
