Job Description

Driver Recruiter is responsible for delivering company features & benefits to all applicants. Recruiters will implement & deliver recruiting strategies to achieve monthly hiring goals. Recruiters are responsible for attracting & recruiting the best possible candidate during the interview / orientation process.


 


Organizational Relationship:


•              The recruiter reports directly to the Safety Director.


•              Will work closely with the Operations Manager and Fleet Managers


•              Communicates with Accounting, IT and Fleet Maintenance as required


•              As part of the Safety Department the recruiter will keep all members current on recruiting activity



Recruiter Responsibilities:


•              Responsible for full cycle recruitment including source, assess and recruit and hire candidates for driving positions.


•              Possess expert knowledge of company information for recruiting candidates including hiring areas, positions available, equipment knowledge, and compensation packages via an understanding of the Independent Contractors Agreement (ICA).


•              Ensure quick response time when communicating with candidates.


•              Must be knowledgeable and ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations surrounding pre-employment process.


•              Fully understands and complies with Part 391 of the FMCSR and the requirements of a Drivers Qualification File.


•              Communicate with prospective candidates throughout the recruiting process, assist with travel and lodging arrangements, overcome obstacles associated with areas preventing applicants from attending scheduled orientation.


•              Participate in pre-employment processing of new hires when necessary.


•              Participate in career fairs, seminars, and employee events as directed.


•              Administrative duties


•              Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education Required:



•              High school diploma or GED, Associate degree preferred.


•              Minimum of one (1) year experience in recruiting, preferably in a transportation.


•              Certificates of Training related to FMCSA education a plus

•              Excellent interpersonal skills.


•              Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


•              Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures in an interruptive environment.


•              Long periods of sitting at a work station.


•              Frequent use of computer and telephone.


•              Frequent use of recruiting software / tracking / sites.
