Job Description

Overview:  Intermodal Operations Manager is a HANDS-ON supervisor that services the needs of the customer while ensuring the safety of the facility, and maintaining high productivity. Responsible for the management of workforce to meet customer needs as well as profitability goals. Expected to work in a fast-paced environment where using superior management, organizational and multi-tasking skills.

Job Duties:

  • Leader and management mindset with technical skills that isn’t afraid of a hands-on approach
  • Extensive knowledge of domestic rail
  • Liaising with third parties to move goods by rail and road in accordance with customer
  • Maintaining communication and control through all phases of the journey
  • Route planning
  • Negotiating contracts, transportation and handling costs
  • Managing documentation and assisting claims issues
  • Supervise Operations Team
  • Working closely with customers, colleagues and third parties and support top management.
  • Report to management

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience holding similar responsibilities within similar industry and organization
  • Teamwork valuing quality service, integrity, and accountability
  • Professional individual who can build strong relationships with all levels of colleagues
  • Strong focus on the customer and carriers
  • Self-motivated, diligent and hardworking
  • Willing to work overtime and work on weekend if needed
  • Proficient with MS Excel, Word, Power Point, and etc.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in U.S
