Job Description

Oversee and manage all aspects of the operations team including how they interact with and support the Service and SaaS Sales departments of the company. Lead company operations, ensuring all projects/jobs are completed on time and on budget, and continue strategically developing our vendor network and improving the time to quote customers. Communicate with customers, third-party vendors, and upper management teams for most effective project/job completion. Manage key internal metrics and create and implement plans for continuous improvement.


  • Proactively research and understand environmental laws, including RCRA as well as federal and state licensing and permitting requirements for customers and vendors

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, or local regulatory agencies (i.e. EPA, DOT)

  • Continuously monitor the vendor network to determine strategic weaknesses, and complete and execute plans to address these areas, including developing/improving the transportation network

  • Identify patterns and problem areas; implement effective solutions to increase efficiency

  • Negotiate contract terms, including pricing, with vendors

  • Maintain a strong relationship with vendors to ensure customers are properly handled

  • Work quickly and independently to resolve any customer or vendor complaints

  • Work with VP of Sales (Service) to determine how best to support sales activity, and align the operations team to appropriately handle

  • Develop a system which allows the sales team to quickly quote customers; continuously work to improve quote time, including determining the best vendor options based on project specifications

  • Lead an effective operations team, including overseeing project/job completion timelines, monitoring project/job costs, and ensuring customer needs are met

  • Continuously review operations procedures to provide highest client satisfaction

  • Champion the operational module of the SaaS Platform by determining key features that should be included, and collaborate with the Project Manager to prioritize these features

  • Identify problem areas inside our vendors; work with SaaS Sales to develop a SaaS sales strategy

  • Regularly report on operational initiatives, including timelines as well as expected and actual results

  • Develop and report on key operational KPIs

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management or equivalent experience

  • Knowledge of environmental laws

  • Environmental industry experience preferred

  • 3PL support experience preferred

  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to creatively solve complex problems

  • Strong negotiation skills of high level contract terms with outside executives

  • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills
