Accounting Manager

Responsibilities – Accounting Manager

  • Work with management to develop an annual business plan and tracks to the plan throughout the year.
  • Champion for integrity and compliance within the organization
  • Coordination of plant accounting policies/practices/internal control procedures to be consistent with company policies
  • Determines/establishes/coordinates accounting policies/practices/procedures/internal controls
  • Works within accounting/management information systems
  • Maintains standard cost, inventory control, and pricing
  • Develops a great working relationship with the commercial sales team
  • Documents and trains on transactional controls
  • Provides forecasting and planning support
  • Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments
  • Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations

Job Requirements

Requirements – Accounting Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of accounting experience at a managerial level in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong Cost Accounting experience
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • High degree of analytical/conceptual ability
