Maintenance Technician


Summary

The Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance, tear-down, rebuild and repair work on all equipment in the facility to support production needs. Research-Substitute Electrical components for continuous improvements. Manage continuous improvement projects to completion.



Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Repair and maintain all hydraulic systems and pneumatic systems.
  • Repair gas fired and electrical furnaces.
  • Repair pumps and compressors.
  • Repair of water cooling system and plant air system.
  • Repair/Rebuild all parts of a Die Cast Machines.
  • Obtain complete set of tools per tool list supplies.
  • Complete Lock/Out Tag/Out training.
  • Complete Forklift training and operate forklift in safe manner.
  • Capable and willing to work overtime.
  • Work in a safe manner, not to endanger self or co-workers. Report unsafe conditions.
  • Participate in training programs deemed necessary by the company.
  • Keep up with changing technology.
  • Provide a clean and organized work environment through 5-S controls Install, Program, & Standardize PLC programs for Die-cast & Machining Testing may be required.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, Maintenance Journeyman forklift certification required.
  • Must have a complete understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics, PLC’s electrical and electronic systems.
  • Able to follow NEC Electrical Code and understanding of AC or DC voltage.
  • Ability to arc and MIG weld as required
  • Prior experience in Die-cast/Machining Maintenance Troubleshooting preferred
  • Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
