Summary

Position will assist in improving supply chain logistics by data collection and analysis. The Logistics Analyst will report directly to the Director of Logistics and will participate in continuous improvement and rapid improvement events and provide support including documentation, analysis, and follow-up activities. This position will also collaborate with the procurement team to analyze and coordinate inbound deliveries of raw ingredients and manufacturing supplies.

Job Responsibilities: Logistics Analyst


Analyze customer-focused logistics plans to ensure they support sales/end customer by optimizing logistics cost, improving delivery performance, and implementing quality improvements.

•         Assist with the implementation of new Transportation Management Software (TMS)

•         Build consolidation loads with multi-site pickup and delivery points

•         Manage shipment reporting and freight payment relationships with third parties and develop rate structures, audit logic and reporting

•         Develop metrics and carrier scorecards to measure and improve overall performance

•         Monitor multi-site shipment activity for carrier selection and routing guide effectiveness, provides problem-solving resolutions and late planning/expedited solutions

Performs detailed assessment of internal and external freight carriers, costs, load & lane optimization

Job Requirements

Requirements: Logistics Analyst

•         Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, or related Business Management degree.

•         2+ year's logistics experience with dry, refrigerated, and frozen food products.

•         Knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Enterprise Planning Systems (ERP).

•         An advanced level of MS Excel skills required, knowledge of MS Access preferred (query writing, reports, etc.)

•         Knowledge of regulatory bodies for transportation (DOT) and food safety/FMSA (FDA).
