Essential Duties and responsibilities

Provide a solid base of leadership for the day to day management of the warehouse operations and transportation logistics processes/procedures.

Direct the activities and oversee the day-to-day operations and payroll of the delivery team

Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse & transportation services

Develops warehouse operations system improvements by analyzing process work flow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout; implementing changes

Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs & efficiency

Suggests efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures and assists with the implementation of changes within inbound and outbound warehouse operations

Direct activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking of all delivery vehicles

Monitors and maintains all driver DOT files, including medical card information

Maintains associate relations through regular department or pre-shift meetings; maintains on-going interaction; keeps open communication channels with associates by answering questions and explaining policies and procedures; monitors associate morale; and submits and responds to ideas to improve associate engagement and enablement

Interprets trains and consistently enforces Company policies and procedures

Maintains safe and healthy workforce by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with all laws/government regulations


Bachelor’s Degree, preferred--equivalent experience is acceptable

7 or more years’ of food service-related warehouse/distribution operations experience

WMS Experience required and Roadnet experience a plus!

Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to get work done through others

Demonstrated solid working knowledge of Microsoft Applications, including Word & Excel (including spreadsheets)
